The Pond

Must. Go. Bed.

Well, we had some pretty wicked rain here in the Great State of Texas today. It was seriously quite cool. It pured for about half and hour and there was kick ass thunder and lightning as well. In the Midwest, where I hail from, no pun intended, you get a little bit of warning before a storm blows up. Also, I have a psychic knee that I injured when I was little and now tells me when a "tornader" is coming. In Texas, it's like sunBAMstorm. And that tropical fart in the Gulf cannot be helping matters, or so I would imagine.

I saw Love Actually tonight for the first time. I have been on such a Brit-kick. I watched Sense and Sensibililty, my favorite movie, for the zillionth time last night. I love you, Colonol Brandon! I would SO choose you over Willoughby, any day! And then I wanted to see Dogma, and I'm considering (seriously) purchasing the A&E miniseries "Pride and Prejudice". You know the One With The Great Colin Firth. And ladies, let's get real. Everyone talks about the wonderful acting and great historical preservation and the Regency era and the music and the cinematography and blah, blah, blah. But I'm watching it for one reason, and I think we all know what it is. Yeah that's right. The Pond Scene. That is the single most brilliant moment of filming, and acting, no, just anything this entire century. Three cheer for Mr. Darcy.
